How to disable user signup in versions > 4.x

By default, we allow users to signup to Domino if they don't have an account. This guide will show you how you can disable that functionality.

Firstly, we'll need to get access to the keycloak UI which is available at http(s)://<domino-domain>/auth/ (e.g http://domino.example.com/auth/) - Note: that the trailing slash is required to get to the frontend.

Once you're at the UI, click on Administration Console.

Run the below command to get the keycloak admin password - Note: To get the password you'll need kubectl access to the cluster:

kubectl get secret keycloak-http -n domino-platform -ojsonpath='{.data.password}' | base64 --decode;echo

Once you're logged in you should see a page similar to the below:

From here, click on the 'Login' tab.

Mark the 'User registration' setting to OFF and click save.

User registrations will now no longer be accepted and the sign up link will be removed from the login screen.
