Control Center panel for 'Jobs Overview'

(Scheduled) Jobs are great. However, there are two issues that limit their usefulness.

First, while we can get alerts for a 'Success' or 'Failure', there's no way to customize alerts for metrics in the .dominostats file. For example, I'd like to be alerted if when a job runs, metric A is outside of configured limits. Each alert should also have a priority level, and we should be able to customize who gets the alert.

Second, as a team manager/admin there's no way to get an overview of all Scheduled Jobs. I'd like to be able to have a birds eye view of all our processes, see which ones are in 'success' status, which are 'failed' and get general information such as how many times the Job has run, who's the owner, etc.

In general, you can think of this feature request as CloudWatch for Domino.

Hi @john.stanton-geddes, thanks for the feedback! We're passing this along to our product managers.

If you're looking for any short-term solutions, here are a couple of suggestions:

    1. You could configure a job that inspects the results of your scheduled jobs, including the metrics you're tracking, and sends the alerts you need. This would be a manual setup but should be doable with e.g. the python email library.
    2. In recent versions of Domino, we do make all Scheduled Jobs available to admins in the Assets Portfolio view (all the way on the right), although we don't include a column indicating if the most recent run succeeded or failed -- that's a great feature request.

Please let us know if you have any further feedback, and we'll provide updates in community when we have any news on new features.

    Best,

    Katie
